Moving to Australia means I stay in school longer.

Ok this is what it would've been if I stayed in Hong Kong:
Kindergarten: Sep 94 - May 95 - 10 months
Primary 1: Sep 95 - June 96 - 10 months
Primary 2: Sep 96 - June 97 - 10 months
Primary 3: Sep 97 - June 98 - 10 months
Primary 4: Sep 98 - June 99 - 10 months
Primary 5: Sep 99 - June 00 - 10 months
Primary 6: Sep 00 - June 01 - 10 months
Year 7: Sep 01 - June 02 - 10 months
Year 8: Sep 02 - June 03 - 10 months
Year 9: Sep 03 - June 04 - 10 months
Year 10: Sep 04 - June 05 - 10 months
Year 11: Sep 05 - June 06 - 10 months
Year 12: Sep 06 - June 07 - 10 months
Year 13: Sep 07 - May 08 - 9 months
Hong Kong - Total: 139 months = 11 years & 7 months

Early September, late June for all of them.. this is for a international (private) school, I don't know about their local schools.

Now for Australia:
Kindergarten: Feb 96 - Dec 96 - 11 months
Year 1: Feb 97 - Dec 97 - 11 months
Year 2: Feb 98 - Dec 98 - 11 months
Year 3: Feb 99 - Dec 99 - 11 months
Year 4: Feb 00 - Dec 00 - 11 months
Year 5: Feb 01 - Dec 01 - 11 months
Year 6: Feb 02 - Dec 02 - 11 months
Year 7: Feb 03 - Dec 03 - 11 months
Year 8: Jan 29 04 - Dec 21 04 - 11 months
Year 9: Feb 01 05 - Dec 05 - 11 months
Year 10: Feb 06 - Dec 06 - 11 months
Year 11: Feb 07 - Dec 07 - 11 months
Year 12: Feb 08 - Nov 08 - 10 months
Australia - Total: 142 = 11 years & 10 months

It is really late January for start and mid-December for end.. but it doesn't matter, still 10 months :P haha..

Year 8: Jan 29 04 - Dec 21 04 - 11 months - But due to early holiday, Jan 29 04 - Dec 02 04 - so 10 months
Year 9: Feb 01 05 - Dec 05 - 11 months - Again, due to late return, Feb 21 05 - Dec 05
Year 10: Feb 06 - Dec 06 - 11 months
Year 11: Feb 07 - Dec 07 - 11 months
Year 12: Feb 08 - Nov 08 - 11 months
Total: 146 = 12 years & 1 month
